More About Me

Hello, I'm Karma! I know there's already an about section, but I wanted to share a little more about myself and my process in creating these stories, in case anyone's curious.

I've never been a great storyteller, but I've been sharing my dreams with anyone who'll listen since I was a little girl. I think it started with nightmares—like the time I dreamt that Burt and Ernie came from my radiator, dragged me from my bed, and wouldn’t let me go back. Honestly, that would still terrify me today! I guess that's where it all began, and it never stopped.

Now, I send voice notes to my best friend every morning (sorry, bestie!), or I jot my dreams down in a notes app, type them out, or even use a physical dream journal. No matter how I record them, I eventually type up my dreams (unless they’re already typed) and put them into an AI-powered tool to turn them into stories. Sometimes, the dream is long enough that it gets polished into something like The Cull: Season 3 or The Treehouse Secret. I'll even share the beginning of The Treehouse Secret at the end of this post so you can compare the original dream with the final story. If the dream is shorter, I let AI take some creative liberties and tweak it.

My dreams don’t always seem to be directly inspired by my real life, though I do watch a lot of anime, so sometimes anime characters make an appearance! My mom also created a dream and symbols interpreter called Dreams and Symbols, and when I’m unsure about certain details, I look it up there—or ask her directly.
